How the finals work
The route below explains the format using regular-season finishing positions. It is not a list of confirmed match pairings.
1. Elimination finals
3rd vs 6th · 4th vs 5th
Two single-match ties. Third and fourth are the designated home clubs. Both winners advance; both losing teams are eliminated.
2. Semi-finals: two legs
1st vs lowest-ranked elimination winner · 2nd vs highest-ranked elimination winner
Rank means the final regular-season position. The pairings depend on both elimination results. First and second may nominate a preference to play the first leg at home or away, so check the confirmed fixtures for the hosting order.
The scores from both legs are added together. Away goals do not count extra. A drawn first leg does not decide the tie.
3. Grand Final
The two semi-final winners meet
One match decides the Champion. The finalist with the higher regular-season finish is the designated home club. The actual venue is confirmed in the match listing.
What happens if the scores are level?
A level elimination final or Grand Final goes to two 15-minute periods of extra time, followed by penalties if needed. In a semi-final, this applies only if the aggregate score is level after the second leg. Shoot-out scores are separate from the match score.
